Why Do I Work at Home?
Recently, I had some time to reflect on why I work at home. Many people tell me, “Hey, don’t you ever get sick of seeing the same walls?” The thing is, if I worked in an office, I’d still see the same stuff, only working from home affords me the chance to do other things and appreciate my life a bit more. Usually I spout off the following attributes and my friends scramble for their own home business opportunity:
• No commute! I can go from sleeping to working in my office in 30 seconds if I need to.
• I have a larger and nicer office than I’d ever get in a building. I even have my own bathroom!
• No drop-in interruptions from co-workers. If I need to focus on a task, I can just close my email client and turn off my phone.
• It’s easier to work exercise into my daily routine. I typically run on the treadmill first thing in the morning, work for an hour or two, then eat breakfast and take a shower. I don’t think my co-workers would appreciate that schedule if I had to go into an office!
• I get to see my family more. I can usually have lunch with them, and am able to spend my breaks with them instead of in small talk over the water cooler in an office.
Online and Offline Advertising…which do you use?
Promotion these days is a done in a variety of ways both on and offline. Many business owner that are marketing an online product or promoting an mlm opportunity or online business do not even consider offline advertising. Steps to become a millionaire often have to include using methods that you normally wouldn’t think of. Get outside the box of typical promotions and think of the ways you have been approached or seen that have caught your eye. PPC, ezines, targeted email marketing are all good but limited to budgets and resources not eveyone has.
Refering to marketing offline how many of you have considered – postcard marketing for example. Maybe trying some flyers or poster ads at the local mall or bulletin board at the community center. Flyers left on cars in a parking lot can also be effective, this requires some work and planning but is fairly cost effective. Hey you can even put a sticker or advertisment on your vehicle. You can also place ads in your local newspaper, community newsletter or even periodicals that are distributed to coffee shops and restaruants. Hand out your business cards to new people you meet and even friends and aquaintances you already know. You never know who is looking to change their future.
A work from home business opportunity has to be run just like any other business. You need clients or traffic coming through your door or traffic hitting your website in order to people to see what you have to offer. Getting them there by any means you have at hand (except spamming or illegal methods) is your main task. I try to use an many methods as possible to promote my business. Be creative, be inventive. Traffic is traffic whether targeted or otherwise. If your business is visable and you have a good opportunity – you shall be successful.
Wealth Systems – Choosing a Business
Back in the day, when I first decided to have a Home Based Business; I spent a lot of money, I purchased a lot of programs, and wasted time pursuing and working at programs that didn’t work. Now here in the present I know that if I wouldn’t have tried all the stuff that didn’t work then I wouldn’t have the knowledge and fore site to know what will work now. How do you choose a business to work online? Automated wealth systems, money making clubs, ebooks, Clickbank products, reselling other peoples products…..do a search on the web and you will see a plethora of these opportunities. Strong work ethic – Tangible Product – Keeping current with the market:
Do you have a work ethic – is it efficient and productive? Do you get things done? No one knows your work ethic like you. You need to have a consistent and effective process in place. If you don’t then you need to change it so it is. Realize this as well, that you can never know how much money you will make online or the amount of time it will take to make money period. Stay clear of a company that tells you that its possible to become rich with little or no work at all. Your business has to offer something that the people want or need. Something tangible. It needs to scalable and adaptable with the changing times ahead.
Passion – Dedication – Perseverance:
Passion is key to any business – you have to like what you are doing and be able to dedicate yourself to it on a daily basis. Don’t pick a business that you don’t understand or that is not ethical. Even if your passion is making money – you still have to have a product to offer that will make you that money. Might as well make it something that you enjoy. (ie: gardening, sports, travel, health, investments ). You also have to be persistent with your business. Don’t jump in and after one week or one month give up because you haven’t made millions. You have to start with the first sale – your first online dollar. Then progress into making more. Take your time to research the business or opportunity that you are considering. Pick two or three that are suitable to you and compare them – Cost, product, reoccurring costs, is it ethical, and how about long term success. Does the product have longevity in the market. Can it be sold for years to come? Don’t get in because it has a good sales pitch or offers quick results? Any business will take time to get off the ground.
Viewpoints – Belief:
Once you have narrowed down the businesses opportunities that you think you would enjoy doing – picture yourself in this business as a business owner, promoting it, marketing it, becomes wealthy from it. See yourself working from home with no commute and no boss being accountable only to yourself. Then see if others have that same viewpoint. Friends can sometimes be dream-breakers – but they can also offer good insight. ‘Yeah Val – I can see you doing that!’
or ‘Man you would be awesome at that.’ If you believe in yourself – others will believe in you as well.
To Be or Not to be in Business. Working for yourself have many benefits. Tax write offs, unlimited income, time freedom, no boss, no commute and the ability to work from anywhere in the world if you like. Make a list of pro’s and con’s of the business you are considering. Write down what is important to YOU. Also make sure that you are choosing a wealth system or internet marketing opportunity that is ethical, profitable and something that you can be passionate about. Everyone is an individual and unique. So are the many home based businesses out there. Choose wisely.
The Economy. What are you doing about it?
Bailouts, recovery programs, money being handed out to this corporation and this agency. Are you afraid?
Are you unsettled — not knowing what will happen in the coming months…years? Well a lot of people are satisfied with cocooning themselves. They are happy not taking any action to help preserve their way of life.
That may be a good thing – it may not. Who’s to really say what is ‘really’ going to happen down the road.
Being paralyzed with fear is not a way to live. I see what the media feeds us and I take note – but is that what is really going on?? I can understand the loss of a career or not being sure if your job of 20 years will be there tomorrow – but regardless – it is time to stop letting the media, the governments and huge corporate bodies control us. We’re stopped spending money, making purchases and doing the things that we normally do – and that is making the economy stagnant. We’re scared, we’re unsure, there is fear in the air. 
FDR once said: “So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” FDR
Unfortunately – the lingering hope that the government will help us out in this crisis lays in the back of everyone’s mind; but what if they don’t fix the economic issues – what if they can’t restart the economy?
What then? We are ultimately responsible for ourselves. We have to have some control over what happens in our lives. Do we live in fear or do we boldly set out to create our own destiny? Our own economic turnaround. I say be BOLD!
Having a backup plan or a recovery program for yourself is the ultimate way to stay in control. Business opportunities abound if you look for them. People are starting new careers from their home offices and kitchens. Instead of sitting back and waiting – entrepreneurs are setting forth and creating their own cash-flow and fortunes. Globally it is up to us – the risk taker, the home business owner, the internet marketer to take the big step and help people start believing in themselves again. The world wide web is expanding – work from home opportunities are increasing exponentially. It is time people around the world took a stand and started opening their minds to new possibilities and new opportunities.
Fire Your Boss and Get out of Your J.O.B.
If your boss micromanages you and work is a drag–you’re probably tired of working for someone else. And, it may be time to start your own online business. If you have a body and mind that is healthy and fueled by organic ingredients and super-foods that are free of toxins and pesticides; then in turn your body will project that internal well-being outwards to other aspects of your life. Live longer, attract more positive energy, gain more insight and live longer. If the food that I put into my mouth can help me gain financially then why wouldn’t I do it? It’s a win win situation! My body and mind improve and in turn my business, investments and wealth take an upturn as well.
This is not a likely topic you will find discussed in normal channels covering money making methods and best business practices, but it is worth the time to consider. If you have a successful business or are looking to make improvements in how well your business is performing you may want to start with yourself. If you are functioning at the highest level you can – then so will your business opportunity. If you think about it – your body is similar to a business. If you feed it the right fuel it will perform at top efficiency.

Inexpensive Resources To Generate Business Leads
I have included 5 of my top performing marketing resources to generate leads for a home based business. These are the exact places we go to create leads for Infinite Income Plan and each is easy to implement as well as low cost on the pocketbook.
Remember patience and perseverance. You have to be willing to be consistent with these. Repeat them often. People fail because they give up. Try a different ad each week – see which provides results. Try different media to submit your ads – video, signature lines, text ads, banner ads, article posting…do what you know and what is easy for you. Remember – Repetition.

US Free Ads – is one of the more popular ones but you can use any free ad site you want.

Start joining safelists – some are free and some charge for submissions. Either way you can get alot of exposure using these. Safelist databases are always changing and growing so fresh eyes are seeing your opportunity.

#4 – Social Media
If you are not using Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, YouTube or any other of the many social media sites then you need to start. Awesome potential to create traffic, buzz about your business and general conversation about whatever you are promoting. Be creative and unique and you obtain a following. All of these sites will allow you to feed traffic to your main business opportunity. I am now #1 on Twitter for my location – Edmonton, AB – that’s pretty cool seeing as I only started using Twitter about 2 months ago.
#5 – Blogging
Blogging is a great way to backlinks to your main business. Blog entries can have pictures or videos associated with them. You can link to other sites as well. With a blog you can post just about anything related to your business. ie: if you business is about making money online – you can blog about the recession, the economy, residual income after retirement, business news, investment news, business opportunity comparisons, profit, wealth systems, making money from home and so forth. Blogging is fun and can help provide your business with more targeted traffic.
Supplemental income, residual income, passive income — Whatever you want to call it – You have to create it yourself. The more you do for yourself the more things will start to happen for you. Never rely on one site or method and try to generate word of mouth publicity. Feed traffic to your main site with any of the above mentioned techniques. Go grassroots and build your ads, articles and website for people and for search engines. The more traffic you get = the more sales you will get. It is all numbers.

Why Marketing Needs to Evolve
We find ourselves in the midst of an ethical crisis. Yes, the numbers of our global financial system seem to be in disarray; but they represent mere emblems of a much deeper issue: namely, that the values we share, the decisions we make, and the cultural patterns we so consistently deify, as a collective, are in need of a profound evolution, a leap, a total revolution. Indeed, as the recently deceased spiritual teacher and social activist Vimala Thakar said:
The cleverness of the human mind has led us to the complex, horrifying, and all-encompassing crisis that we now face. The familiar solutions, based on a limited view of what a human being is, continue to fail, to be pathetically inadequate. Yet we pour vast resources into these tired solutions and feel that if we achieve a grand enough scale, the old solutions will meet the new challenges… Do we have the vitality to go beyond narrow, one-sided views of human life and to open ourselves to totality and wholeness? The call of the hour is to move beyond the fragmentary, to awaken to total revolution.
Marketing, of course, has played no small roll in our current cultural, economic, and social predicament. The method of selling through appealing to the baser tiers of human fear and desire serves only to stagnate the cause of realizing a higher potential for humanity. As a result of marketers’ often ill-motivated manipulation of the human psyche, those in our field who subscribe to such tactics have rightly earned the monikers of snake oil salesmen, con artists, and puppet masters.
The practice of “marketing”–in the way that it is defined and often applied today, at least–garners immediate mistrust, disdain, and dismissal from its intended recipients. A total revolution, as Ms. Thakar calls it, would not in any way deepen the grooves of fragmentation that have led us to this precarious place. Rather, it would radically reorient and reorganize our collective fabric of interrelatedness, such that the world we see, hear, and feel resembles and expresses the perfection that lay beyond the separation of human ego, and the false boundaries it creates.
In a world in which marketing is not only ubiquitous, but also profoundly influential on a cultural scale, we must reevaluate the motives, tools, and perspectives that we use to sell our products, services, and ideas.
We cannot reject “marketing” as a whole–after all, we live in a profoundly interconnected marketplace, and with the democratization of technology, the opportunity to have a voice and effect change has never been more possible. Marketing, then, is now an almost universally essential skill to develop.
No, we can’t reject it, but we can redefine it. We can look deeply into what marketing is, why it is the way it is, and what we can do to render it a force for good in the world.
That is the ambitious goal of Evolutionary Marketing. If you’re an evolutionary, you see could be. You want to create something new, something that hasn’t come before, because you’re aware that you’re part of an evolutionary process that is continually creative. A better, more conscious future is what motivates you. It’s what gets you out of bed in the morning–that, and perhaps a good cup of coffee. As an evolutionary, you want to have an impact on culture. You see that our culture has stalled, and you want to move it forward.
